Susan Resko, M.M. Executive Director |
| Susan Resko received her Masters from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. Susan served as CABF’s development director for five years before accepting the position of CABF’s executive director. Prior to joining CABF, Susan was a vice president at a major financial institution. She also volunteers on other non-profit boards and fundraising organizations. Susan and her husband have three children, one with bipolar disorder.

Nanci Schiman, MSW, CAPSW Program Manager Nanci holds a masters degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, with a particular interest in mental health in children. She recognizes the impact of mental illness on the entire family, and advocates for support and treatment of all members of the family. Nanci has experience in working with autistic children as well as over 10 years of management experience in the health insurance industry. As a former CABF volunteer, and the parent of a child with bipolar disorder, she has a strong working knowledge of pediatric bipolar disorder. Nanci coordinates the volunteers and programs that provide direct support to member families. |

Shira Raider Webmaster Shira Raider formerly provided support to the management and staff of ACORN Housing, a nationwide non-profit counseling agency for low and moderate income families. As a part of the CABF staff, she fulfills her particular interest in grassroots empowerment through connecting parents and caregivers of children to the resources that allow them to take control of their family’s health and well-being.

Denisse DePeralta Program Assistant With an education in psychology and child development, joining CABF in 2007 convinced Denisse that it was the right path for her to follow. She now works directly with parents to find the best resources and answers any questions that parents may have regarding the website. “Working with families with children with bipolar disorder has added tremendous value to me as a person and I can say with conviction that working for a non-profit organization such as CABF has been an immensely enriching experience.”

Jim Otis Online Support Groups Technical Advisor Jim works with the Parent to Parent Coordinator and the Online Support Group moderators to help resolve technical issues that affect CABF's Web based support groups. He relies on 19 years of hands-on experience with both PC's and the Web to advise on projects such as the move of 22 Online support groups to a secure CABF server.
Jim has an 11 year old grandson with bipolar disorder. He initially joined a CABF online support group to find answers for himself and his family. Jim now feels fortunate to be assisting other families dealing with this disorder and finds his role as technical advisor exceptionally rewarding. |

Lolli Ross, MS, CAS Family Response Team Leader

| Lolli is a special education administrator in Connecticut for an agency serving infant and youth with disabilities and their families. She runs a Birth to Three program, family support and advocacy services, as well as a variety of supports for children with disabilities so they can actively participate in school and the community with their peers without disabilities. She has been actively involved in the development of a variety of parent support and advocacy programs in CT such as the Parent to Parent Network, Padres Abriendo Puertas for Latino families, and Parents as Partners in Special Education Services. She has been passionately involved in the disability rights movement for the past 20 years to help create communities and schools that welcome children of all abilities. She has two children, one with bipolar disorder. |
