I am am currently president of CABF, and have been a member of the board of directors since 2007. I first found CABF as a mom seeking answers, cutting-edge science, and the wisdom of other parents. Before becoming involved in mental health advocacy, I worked as a writer and editor for the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times, and as a freelance journalist for publications including Good Housekeeping Magazine. I am married with 3 children. My daughter was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 15, and completed high school at a residential therapeutic center.
